The Winner of 2020 Edition

26-years-old South Korean Pianist Hyelim Kim is Prizewinner of the Clara Haskil Competition in Vevey(Public Prize, Special Prize, Finalist Prize) , the 8th Annarosa Taddei International Competition (First Prize), Steinway&Sons Förderpreis in NRW (First Prize), Lions Prize in Cologne (First Prize) Since marking her orchestral debut with Romania-Bacau Orchestra only at the age of 10, Hyelim has been working with numerous Orchestras, including Zermatt Festival Orchestra, Orchestre de Picardi, Kölner Orchestergesellschaft, Chuncheon youth Symphony Orchestra. She gave her first Piano Recital at the age of 14 and has performed mainly in Korea, France, Italy, Netherlands and across Germany at prestigious venues, including Tonhalle Düsseldorf and the Stadthalle Wuppertal. She gave successfully her Debut-Recital at Festival Piano Folies du Touquet and Festival Saint Riquier and has been also a featured soloist on the “Bechstein Young Professionals”, “WDR 3 Campus Concert” series. In upcoming Season 23/24 she will give recitals in Europe, including Debut-Recital at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Hyelim started learning Piano at the age of five. After winning numerous Competitions in her Contury, she went to Germany to study with Georg Friedrich Schenck. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. Since October 2021 she is studying with Claudio Martinez Mehner. She earned her Master‘s Degree at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln and from October 2023, she is pursuing her Konzertexamen (Postgraduate) in Cologne as well. In 2023, She became a scholarship holder of Clavarte Foundation in Bern.
